  • Mission & Vision

The mission of the Nineteenth Street Baptist Church is to profoundly experience, joyfully celebrate, and meaningfully share God's grace. We do this through Christ-centered worship, biblical instruction, prayer, nurturing fellowship, and caring acts that are reflective of our love for God and one another. We, through the power of the Holy Spirit, proclaim the Gospel and Jesus Christ to all people while supporting the work of missions in our church, our community, our country, and the world.

    • June 23, 2012 @ 7:00 PM — 9:30 PM: Benefit Concert - An Evening of Gospel Jazz Fusion

Mark your calendars for June 23 when the Buildings and Blessings Capital Campaign of Nineteenth Street Baptist Church will present its second benefit concert event, An Evening of Gospel Jazz Fusion. This extraordinary musical concert will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012, 7:00 p.m., at the historic Nineteenth Street Baptist Church, conveniently located at 4606 16th Street, N.W., Washington, DC.

The concert will feature two of Nineteenth Street’s very own, renowned artists Tami Hayes and Grammy Award winner Michael Bowie. They will be joined on stage by celebrated jazz artists Marshall Keys, Federico Peña, and Mark Prince, along with several special guest artists.

People are still talking about our first benefit concert held in January, so you will not want to miss this music lover’s event. We invite you to support the concert by purchasing concert tickets, reserving a priority table for 10, and/or becoming a sponsor. Proceeds of the concert will benefit our two-year campaign to raise funds for capital improvements to the church.

See the "Benefit Concert" link on our website for more details.
