Day 1 – The Necessity of Prayer

Meditative Thought: Jesus Himself had to keep focus on the Father through Prayer. At every significant moment of trial Jesus had to go away to be alone with the Father.

Scriptural References:

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.                                                 James 5:16

 15)  Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; 17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God. 20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.             Ephesians 3:14-21

Lord Hear Our Pray for:

Gracious and Loving Father God,

Father, our need for your listening ear is great and we, as your children, have and feel the urgency and necessity to talk with You at all times. We bow down on our knees in humble submission to your will for you are great, loving and patient with us. You are our comfort and you care for us always; especially in the time of our need even when we cannot seem to grasp our own need.  We feel it of great necessity to intercede to you on behalf of our church, our families, our city, and our country.

Father, we are evermore grateful to you and praise you continuously for your loving kindness. Father, we cannot begin to comprehend the breadth, length, depth and height of your reach and your greatness. We pray for those who are in need of your healing power; the kind of healing that only you can provide.

We pray this prayer out of need, humble submission and understanding of your greatness and power. In the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, Amen
