Lord Hear Our Prayer for a better understanding of the Work of the Holy Spirit:

Heavenly Father, We pray for wisdom to understand how the Holy Spirit; the third person in the Holy Trinity helps to build each of us up in the Body of Christ. Jesus promised the Holy Spirit as a gift to all who believe. (Luke 24:49; John 14:16; Acts 1:5). He helps us serve as that light in our homes and in our church family. Part of His ministry is to seal believers at the moment they place saving faith in Him. Father, thank you for Your Son Jesus!

Gracious Father, We thank you for how the Holy Spirit’s presence in our lives as believers is final evidence for one’s self and for others, and validates the truth of what we believe. Jesus told us that “we shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon us and we shall be witnesses to Him in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”  Father, we have come to know that the Holy Spirit is our down payment in the plan for eternal life and provide a foretaste for each believer’s growth and our spiritual inheritance. Father, we thank you for the distribution of Spiritual gifts through the work of the Holy Spirit. He empowers us to be servants as we serve others and give our best to the Master.

Father, give us the power to become in tune to the Work of the Holy Spirit in us, for we need him to lead and even control our lives.  We are truly grateful that you sent the Holy Spirit to bear us up and to live with us throughout our days. Thank you Father, for we can be assured that we are never alone. For these blessings we are most grateful, in Your Son Jesus’ name, Amen.

Lord have mercy upon us, and incline our hearts to keep Thy Law.
