Day 9 – Family Blessings: The Pastor’s Family, Individual Member families and the Church Family as a Whole

Day 9 – Family Blessings: The Pastor’s Family, Individual Member families and the Church Family as a Whole,  Contributed by Deacon Fred Leftrict

Meditative Thought: Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord; knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”

Scripture References:

The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.                                                                           Romans 8:16-17

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.                                                                           Ephesians 1:3-6

Lord Hear Our Prayer For:

Oh heavenly Father, how marvelous is your name! Dear Lord, I come before you thanking you for sending us your chosen servant to lead our church into a new season of ministry. Thank you for all the ways that you have blessed, protected and prepared him to join our church family. May your angels continuously surround every member of his household, keeping their minds, bodies and spirits safe from hurt, harm and danger. Oh Lord, as Pastor Roberts proclaims your Word, may it always find fertile ground in the hearts of the saved and the unsaved. And Lord, may our church family always remember and keep close the joy we are experiencing as we begin this new chapter with a new under shepherd! As months turn into years, may we always embrace a spirit of togetherness and shared purpose as we follow Pastor Roberts in doing what thus sayeth the Lord. This humble prayer is offered in the name of our Risen Savior, Jesus, Amen.
