Lord Hear Our Prayer

Heavenly Father, we pray for Pastor Robert’s family. We thank you for Dr. Laura, his companion, friend and love of his life. We pray for the sweet and loving innocence of Anaiah and Isaiah. Father, we glorify and praise you for sending us a young and vibrant family! We know that the family is the first unit you created for man to share life and the privilege of communication.  Precious Anaiah and Isaiah, Our Heavenly Father knows that you are precious in the sight of your parents and you are becoming that way with all of us as members of our church family. Father, give them strength to be examples and yet be their own loving selves; bursting with curiosity to know about life and its many mysteries and yet maintain their healthy childhood. Father, In the book of Deuteronomy, Your WORD says that we are to teach our children the commandments and make them aware of God’s laws; as we sit in our houses, when we walk by the way, and when we lie down, and when we rise up again. That means keeping Your laws on the minds of all of our children here at Nineteenth Street Baptist Church.  Jesus lovingly used children as examples as a way of teaching us how we should love and obey. Father, we know there will be days in the future that we as a congregation will share Pastor Robert’s time and energy with his family. Lord, our promise to the Robert’s family is that we consider first, the ministry of family. That means we will truly respect their time together. Our desire is to provide godly support to the first family of our church. Father, we humbly pray Your will be done in their lives as they make the transition of setting up a new home in the Washington D.C. area. May our blessings, wishes and hope prevail in their hearts and lives as they make this area their home, Church family, and their desire to maintain a continuum of serving You. Amen, Amen and Amen.
