Day 24 – Faith and Faithfulness

Day 24 – Faith and Faithfulness Contributed by Deacon Peyton Lively

Meditative Thought: Seeking God is the first step to faith

Scripture References:

His Lord said to him, “Well done my good and faithful servant; You have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into joy of your Lord.                        Matthew 25:23

And the Apostles said to the Lord, Increase our faith.”                                        Luke 17:5

Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.                                                                                                                   Galatians 6: 10

One Lord, One faith, one baptism; one God and father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.                                                                                                              Ephesians 4:5

Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.                                   Hebrews 11:6

Lord Hear Our Prayer for Increasing our Faith

Dearest Heavenly Lord, we greet you this day in the name of Jesus. We pray that as you watch over us, blessing us in every way that we will continue to focus on our faith. We do pray, especially in these coming days, for the strength from the Holy Spirit, to sustain our faith, for it will be tested. Help us to walk by faith for it is impossible to please You because anyone who comes to You must believe that You exist and that You reward those who earnestly seek You. We will take up our shield of faith to defend against the enemy. (Eph.6:16) But we know Dear Lord that you abide with us at all times. Continue to teach us that our faith is the work of the Holy Spirit in us strengthened through the Word of God. In the name of Jesus, our Blessed Lord, we pray, Amen.
