Lord Please Hear Our Prayer:

Lord Please Hear Our Prayer for “Thankfulness and Thanksgiving” as we, the Nineteenth Street Baptist Church receive our New Pastor, Reverend Darryl D. Roberts and his family into our church family.  Father God, in your Word it says to “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1Thessalonians 16-18).  Father we honor you, we love you and we are thankful for your grace and mercy, but most importantly we are thankful that you gave your Son, Jesus Christ, so that we might be saved. Our salvation is a priceless gift. “Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift.”(2 Corinthians 9:15).  Father you gave your Son for our salvation so that we might have eternal life and join you one day in your Kingdom.  For Your gift to us we are forever thankful.

Father, your Word tells us to “Enter into His gates with Thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise.  Be thankful unto Him, and bless His name.” (Psalm 100:4).  We are thankful in the good times, in the difficult times, at all times because our thankful hearts honor you. As your servants following the will of God, let us pray without ceasing and be forever thankful for what you have done for us and for what you continue to do for our church and in our lives.
