Day 26 – Love and Charity, Contributed by Deacon Candidate Russell J. Parker
Meditative Thought: Nothing Can Separate Us from the Love of God
Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassion fails not.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son and whosoever believeth on Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins. - I Peter 4:8
So He answered and said, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbors as yourself.”
Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
Ephesians 5: 12
Lord Hear Our Prayer for:
Dear Heavenly Father, we pray for love and compassion for one another as You have graciously loved us, even though we did not deserve it. Bind us together as one loving church family on one accord as we embark on a new chapter in the history and legacy of Your church with our new Shepherd. These blessings we ask in Jesus’ name, Amen.
