Meditative Thought: As for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, And that at the last day He will take His stand on the earth. Job 19:25
For the Lord will judge His people And have compassion on His servants, When He sees that their power is gone, and there is no one remaining, bond or free. Deuteronomy 32: 35
And that no man transgress and defraud his brother in the matter because the Lord is the avenger in all these things, just as we also told you before and solemnly warned you.
1 Thessalonians 4:6
Lord Hear Our Prayer:
Father, in the name of Jesus, we come into your presence thanking you for the Nineteenth Street Baptist Church on Sixteenth Street. You have called us to be saints in this community of Washington, D.C. and around the world. As we lift our voices on one accord, we recognize that you are God and everything was made by you and belongs to you. We hold this to be true and believe no one is an exception. Father, in this world we have seen how greed, envy, and jealousy can cause man to do things that harm others. But in your Word; you have told us that; vengeance is yours, for the day will come of that calamity. We thank you for your love as we strive to be more holy. By the power of the Holy Spirit keep us vigilant of evil and protect us from anything and anyone that is not pleasing to you. Proverbs 20:20 tells us that You, will recompense evil; but we are to wait on You because you will save us from all harm. Father, I praise you for your protection. In our relationships and dealing with one another we should be guided by your Word for in 1 Thessalonians 4:6, you also tell us that no man should transgress and defraud his brother in any matter because you, Lord are the avenger in all these things. We thank you for your mighty hand of protection. We thank you Father for your Word and its guidance. We want to keep it in our hearts as we become more like Jesus each and every day. We will forever lift our hands and praise your holy name. Amen.
