Global Missions Ministry

Dear Church Family,

We are thankful for the mission God has given us in Trelawny, Jamaica, since 2003. As you know, our short-term missionaries have been serving there in educational, youth and medical missions. This year, we will continue that work as well as advance our next trip to St. Thomas, Jamaica.

With your prayers and support, one of our youth minister partners, Rev. Vanya Grant, has not only completed his undergraduate studies in Bible and communications, but has been installed to his first pastorate at Aeolus Valley Church with his new bride, Mrs. Kareen Grant. They sent these video greetings (below) to our church family so we can see where our next mission will take us this year and in Spring 2014.

Thank you for keeping the Grants and our Global Missions Ministry in prayer.

Rev. Robin Turner, Jamaica team leader and GMM spiritual advisor

The purpose of the Nineteenth Street Baptist Church Men’s Ministry is to develop men of Christian character,
encourage and provide opportunities for men to apply their skills and talents, and to use Godly men as a witness and encouragement to others.

In addition to this website, we also invite you to connect with us on Facebook.

Fruit Of The Spirit Ministry

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

These small ministry groups are named in honor of both the specific fruits of the spirit from Galatians as well inspired by this verse.

Mission of Christian Education

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you. Psalm 32:8

Christian Education is the teaching ministry of the Church. It provides direction for teaching activities of all ministries, for the main task of Christian Education is to teach the truth about God. Our purpose is to connect people with other believers and ministries of the church, and to coordinate all functions as directed in the Church constitution. Knowledge, perspective, conviction, skills and character are all strands of Christian education, and mark spiritual growth and development. We recognize and make room for the people of God; to give and receive spiritual, physical, intellectual and emotional support for the development of a faith driven relationship with God and attainment of eternal life.
