Day 5 – The Good Shepherd and the Under Shepherd
Meditative Thought: A New beginning for our Pastor and our Church family
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” John 10: 27-30
Lord Hear Our Prayer For:
Father God, we thank You, for You are the Great Shepherd of our flock. We give you honor, glory, and praise for sending your under shepherd Dr. Darryl Roberts to Nineteenth Street Baptist Church. We pray that this is and will be the House of Prayer that you want it to be under his leadership.
Place in our hearts Dear Lord that preaching, teaching and spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ is the reason that we are here. Teach us Heavenly Father to seek You for all of the things that You would have us to do or not to do and that prayer and discernment should precede everything that we do. Concerns and goals should come straight from your heart to ours. We must listen to You and each other in order to accomplish your good and perfect will for us as sisters and brothers in Christ and as a church family.
We ask your blessings on the entire Roberts family as they come to us, for this is a new journey for them too. We pray that you will take care of all their needs and that they hold on to your unchanging hands every step of the way during this transition in their lives.
Once again, we thank You Father God for our new Under Shepherd that You chose for us and we thank him for answering your call. Thank you Lord for the great things that you have done for us, for all that You are doing right now and all that You will do under the leadership of your Under Shepherd Pastor Darryl Roberts.
IN THE MATCHLESS NAME OF JESUS, I PRAY. AMEN!! AMEN!!
